St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was built through the hope and dedication of donors who shared founder Danny Thomas’ dream that “no child should die in the dawn of life.” St. Jude has a unique mission: to serve as a national and international resource in the fight against pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood illnesses. St. Jude has helped push cure rates for childhood cancer from less than 20 percent to more than 70 percent overall. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world, and research findings at St. Jude are shared with doctors and scientists worldwide. |
Research findings at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are shared with doctors and scientists all over the world, which means that your involvement in this event will significantly impact children suffering from cancer and other catastrophic illnesses, both locally and globally. Since Danny Thomas opened the hospital in 1962, survival rates for childhood cancers have risen from less than 20 percent to 70 percent overall. St. Jude treats children from Oregon and Washington, across the United States, and all over the world at no cost to their families. With 85.3 cents of every dollar going directly to research and afflicted children, there is no question that this is a cause deserving of your support.
St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance and families without insurance are never asked to pay. for more information go to www.stjude.org
