Race Information

Race starts and finishes at Gas Works Park in the Fremont area of Seattle on Lake Union.  Directions click here.

Race start gate is approximately 500 yards from the race finish gate.

   Race starts promptly at 7:00am

Be sure to allow plenty of time to find parking

  • The 10K course follows a counter clockwise directions, on sidewalks and paved trails. The course will be well marked, with aid stations at the 2 mile and 4 miles. The course will have bike monitors.
  • The Half Marathon course follows the ship canal trail, Burke-Gilman Trail and the trail around Lake Union for a very scenic route. The Half Marathon finishes in Gas Works Park. Aid stations approximately every 2 miles.

  • Distances: 13.1 miles and 10K
  • Start Times: 7:00am. You will be asked to seed yourself, with fastest runners in the first waves.
  •  The right lanes of North Northlake Way and N. 34th Ave. will be closed to traffic until all runners/walkers have reached the Fremont Bridge.
  • Kid's Fun Run starts at 11:00am.
  • Location: Gas Works Park in the Fremont area of Seattle. (map)
  • Parking: Parking in Gas Works parking lot and on surrounding streets. (parking close to race venue is limited)
  • Awards: Plaques will be awarded to the overall top three women and top three men plus Master and Grand Master Female and Male. Ribbons for the top three age group winners. 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30- 34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-74, 75+
  • Medals: Half Marathon finishers receive a race medallion.
  • T-Shirts: All participants will receive a technical fabric race shirt (male & female styles).
  • Aid Stations: Approximately every 2 miles. Water and Hammer Heed Hydration drink and Hammer Gels. Portapotties at each aid station.
  • Race Packet Pick-up & Race Registration: May 21, 6:00 - 8:00pm. Gas Works Park
  • Race Packet Pick-up & Day of Race Registration: 5:00am - 6:30am. Gas Works Park
  • Bag check-in at race registration available. Please have all items clearly labeled with your name & bib#.
  • Timing: Chip timed with electronic chip that attaches with a velcro strap around left ankle.
  • Bridges: The course crosses Fremont Bridge and University Bridge. Water way traffic receives priority. With agreement from the Port Authority, the Fremont bridge will not be raised between 7:10 - 7:30am. In the event that the University bridge is raised, your arrival and departure time will be recorded and deducted from your overall time. Should a bridge be raised, enjoy observing a working waterway in action.
  • Strollers are not allowed.
  • Dogs are allowed. Please respect other runners and start at the back of the pack.
